Q: Do solar panels attract wildlife? Asking for my squirrel-fanatic cousin.A: Pigeons, seagulls, squirrels—they all think your roof’s Airbnb. We don’t evict critters (we’re solar pros, not wildlife cops), but we’ll slap on critter guards if added in the contract. Bonus: Free pest control advice: Owls. Just… owls.
-
Q: Will solar work during a blackout? Or am I back to candles and ghost stories?A: Only if you’ve got a battery, friend. Solar alone naps during outages (safety first!). But pair it with our NEOVOLTA batteries (14.4 kWh or 21.6 kWh), and you’ll keep the lights on for hours—or even days if you’re not running a Vegas-style light show.

Q: How long do these shiny rectangles last?A: Our panels (REC, Q CELLS, Axitec) come with a 25-year “we swear we’re awesome” warranty. They’ll outlive your cat, your car, and possibly your gym membership. At Sun Diego Solar Co, we pride ourselves on providing solar solutions that are built to endure. Whether you are opting for a residential installation, enhancing your commercial property, or integrating our electrical services, you can rest easy knowing that our solar panels are designed to deliver long-lasting performance and reliability. With our top-of-the-line solar panels, you are investing not just in sustainable energy but also in a future-proof technology that stands the test of time.
-
Q: How many solar panels do I need? Will 8 panels power my hot tub AND my neighbor’s envy?A: It depends! Most homes use 8–16 panels, but it's not one-size-fits-all. If you have an electric vehicle, a crypto miner, or a heavy-working AC, you might need more. At Sun Diego Solar Co, we tailor to your needs. Tip: Add a battery to store energy, keep your hot tub hot, and leave your neighbors envious, even without sunshine.

Q: Can I yeet the grid forever?A: At Sun Diego Solar Co, we understand the appeal of completely disconnecting from the traditional power grid. Yes, you can "yeet the grid" forever, but it's crucial to approach this with a full commitment. Entry-level solar systems may still require some reliance on the grid during peak energy demands or cloudy days. To achieve true off-grid living, we recommend investing in a robust solar setup from the start. This includes installing extra panels to maximize energy capture and high-capacity batteries to store surplus power. With a comprehensive system in place, you can enjoy the independence of off-grid bliss. Feel free to call it "The Grid Divorce" – we won't judge! Our team at Sun Diego Solar Co is dedicated to helping you design and install a solar solution that meets all your energy needs, ensuring a smooth and sustainable transition away from conventional electricity sources.

Sun Diego Solar installed my solar over a year ago. We have thoroughly enjoyed having little to no electricity bill. It has been so nice not to worry about what our bill is going to cost next month. They use only American made products that are reliable and trustworthy. If you are thinking about getting solar I highly recommend going to Sun Diego Solar.

I was referred to Rick and Sun Diego Solar by a friend. I did my due diligence and received other quotes. Even though Rick gave the best price of all the quotes, I was still considering other systems. In the end, it came down to the personal referral and the fact that Rick was always available to answer any questions and chat about solar. I felt that if anything were to go wrong in the future, he'd be available to help out. With the bigger companies, I didn't want to deal with the admin offices and having to schedule any appointments.
